With autumn now officially started, it is so important to take care of your skincare as the weather begins to get cooler, and our skin is subjected to artificial heating, which can dry it out. Makeup Remover
I use the sensitive skin version of the Garnier Miscellar Water, and it is the only product I continuously come back to again and again for makeup removal, as it doesn’t irritate my skin and takes off all my makeup, even waterproof mascara, without any issues.
Cleanser
I have been using the Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Creme Cleanser for a good few years now and I couldn’t be without it – a true hero product! I love how clean and fresh it leaves my skin feeling when I apply it, and it can be left on for a little longer as a mask, if you want to give your skin a proper treat.
Facial Brush
I am a big convert of facial brushes, since using the Foreo Luna 2 Facial Brush. The vibrations of the device helps products sink in better, and it feels like I am giving myself a mini spa treatment at home.
Day Cream
Perfect for giving that extra boost of hydration and nourishment as the weather gets colder. I love how the consistency of the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream when it is applied, it sinks in and really feels like it is working. It’s pricey, but worth it.
No7 Range
For a night. cream, I am a big fan of the No7 Lift and Luminate Night Cream. I also use their Early Defence Eye Cream and, when my skin needs a proper deep refresh, I also use the Total Renewal Micro Dermabrasion Face Exfoliator. The Line Correcting Booster Serum gives me an extra level of protection against fine lines, important for me now I am in my thirties. Finally, for a bit of added luxury and hydration, I add the Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil.
Face Masks
I love a good face mask, especially when the weather gets colder and I fancy a bit of added pampering as a form of self care, or if my face feels extra dry. I love both the Ark Skincare Hydration Injection Masque and the Oh K Bubble Sheet Masks.
Hand & Lips
You absolutely cannot forget your hands when it comes to autumn/winter skincare. I have tried so many in the past, but often they irritate me as I have eczema on my fingers. The Ark Skincare Intensive Hand and Nail Cream smells gorgeous, feels incredible, doesn’t cause me any issues and really hydrates. A must buy! Lips can become dry, chapped and sore in the cold weather, Ark Skincare have a fantastic Advanced Action Plumping Lip Cream too, which can help to nourish and protect lips.
Makeup Primers
When it comes to creating a smooth base for my makeup over the autumn, a good primer like Estee Lauder Smoother Universal Perfecting Primer is an essential. I also love to use the No7 Skin Illuminator to give my skin a fresh glow, especially if it is looking a little dull and tired during the colder months.
