Having been self employed for the past four years, I am a little ashamed to say that I haven’t really worked on my branding and marketing materials. It is ironic, really, as that is something I do for my day job, but when it comes to my own business, I have been focused on the writing side of things, and haven’t dedicated time to anything else. When the opportunity to work with Aura Print came up, to design my own business cards, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me to take my business to the next level.
Liam and the team at Aura Print were so helpful, and the website gave me all the information I needed to make my decision on which card size, material and finish to go for. I didn’t have a design to use, so Liam created something for me, using the information I provided. I was then sent numerous proofs, which I was able to adjust accordingly, making sure that I was happy with how the cards would look, before they were sent to print.
The cards arrived, fully protected in the packaging, in perfect condition. Although I had seen a proof of how they would look, I was blown away by how professional the cards themselves looked.

The metallic foil design is perfect for my business – freelance writing and photography is a creative industry and I didn’t want anything too ‘cute’, but the pink edge still gives me that feminine touch. The rose gold stands out against the white and grey of the card, and the simple EL initials are sophisticated and simple in equal measures.

I was really happy with the ordering process, and can’t fault how the cards turned out. They are beautiful and will definitely help when I am out and about at events and networking, where I can hand them over to anybody who might be interested in hiring my services. I think business cards are still really relevant, even in an age with technology, as it is something tangible, to hand over, and is the first impression somebody will have about you and your business, so having a well designed, professional looking business card is something to invest in.
