Toys and Crafts for the School Holidays

Features gifted items

The Easter school holidays are here in Dorset and a full two weeks away from school runs stretch ahead. I am fortunate to work from home, meaning I can spend lots of time with the children and Ed, who is a teacher, over the school holidays.

Although we have lots of days out planned, as well as a little mini break to Cornwall, there will be times when we are at home and looking for things to do to keep the children occupied. We were recently sent a few things from the lovely team at Wire PR, and I wanted to share them with you as the kids spent a good few hours at the weekend playing with them already.

Untamed Dragons

These interactive, animated Untamed Dragons have light up jaws and nostrils and fit snugly onto children’s fingers. The kids have really enjoyed playing with the dragon we were sent.

Untamed Mad Lab Minis

Also from Untamed, the collectable Mad Lab Minis have a range of gory hybrids to hatch from Geoslime, Biosand and Terraclay. As a mum, I have somehow managed to avoid slime up until now but I was pleasantly surprised by how it felt, helping the children uncover their miniature dragon from the goo!

Fuzzikins Bedtime Bunnies

These Fuzzikins bunnies are totally cute and perfect for the holidays and would be brilliant as an alternative to chocolate eggs at Easter. The great thing is, you can wash them afterwards and reuse them again and again. The children love them!

Little Brian Paint Sticks

We were sent both the mini and day glow paint sticks from Little Brian. I had not heard of paint sticks before and am obsessed with how simple to use they are and a lot less messy than traditional paints.

The children had a great time making pictures with the sticks, which are very much like glue sticks in design.

We were gifted the items featured in this post, however all words and images are my own.
