Wednesday: Wedding Wednesday – Sit Down with a Supplier – KNphotography

Capturing memories is so important to me which means photography is a key part of a wedding for me. This week I am chatting with Katie who owns photography business KNphotography.
Hi Katie, can you please explain what your company does?

My company provides photography for all occasions, weddings, parties, new babies, product photography – the list goes on! If you need photographs taking, KNphotography can create images you’ll love! With nearing 10 years industry experience, I’ve been photographing the loves and lives of people all over the world.

Beginning in the UK in printing and running studios, I’ve honed my skills and technique, defining my style of photography. Several years at sea gave me   further opportunity to photograph weddings and families in diverse locations from Norway to the Caribbean.

Now happily settled in Bournemouth, I continue to provide the highest quality experience to Dorset based clients; ensuring they have beautiful images to love, display and share

What are your top tips for couples?

I always tell me couples, the main aim is to end the day married, so everything else is a bonus!

Also, really consider what you want to achieve with your wedding photographer and try your best to plan enough time to achieve this, how much time have you allowed from ceremony to meal?

Some of those epic wedding shots you admire may very well have been captured the day after the wedding in a specialized “Day After” shoot…make sure you have a detailed conversation with your photographer so they can advise & guide you.

What do you enjoy most about working in the wedding industry?

The best part is always the absolute privilege of being invited into such a super special day, I get to witness many lovely emotional moments.

And I really do love romance, so getting to watch people in love celebrating is always great!

What are the trends for 2017?

Green is set to be the top colour so I’m looking forward to seeing how this is interpreted across different weddings.

Lots of my booked couples are having real family affair weddings, with many having other family members make their cake or design the bouquets.

Other than your own company/product, what would you recommend for a wedding?
If you are looking for great Make-up Artists I highly recommend ‘Miriam King Make-up Artist & Stylist’ or Kirsty Louise Makeup Artist’

What would be your dream wedding venue?

On a clifftop with stunning views or on a secluded beach – you can’t beat natural surroundings to help create gorgeous photographs!

Thanks so much for talking weddings with me Katie! If you would like to find out more about her wedding services you can find information on her website, Facebook and Instagram.
