With a bridal shoot coming up, my hair had started looking tired and the roots were quite bad so I was pleased to be invited along to Francesco Hair Salon’s Liliput branch for a refresh with their stylist Georgia, who was absolutely lovely, so welcoming, chatty and really knowledgeable about my hair as well.
I had already visited briefly to have the patch test so I knew the salon was beautiful with a nod towards the brand’s Italian heritage. The aesthetic was beautiful and the chairs were so comfy!
With Georgia’s suggestion, we went for a break the base colour alongside my highlights. This helps to brighten up the natural hair colour by a couple of shades, which makes the overall colour lighter, complemented by the highlights, and it is generally easier and cheaper to maintain as well, as you won’t need highlights as often (Georgia suggested having a break the base in between highlights).
I hadn’t realised quite how bad my roots had become until I was looking at it in the mirror. I love having very light, bright blonde hair so I was excited to see how it would look in the end. I settled back and enjoyed chatting to Georgia as she applied the break the base in between the highlights. The salon is really bright, fresh and airy, it was lovely to sit and sip a cold drink (hot drinks are available but I don’t really drink them) and I was treated to a chocolate and some popcorn too, a lovely touch.
At the sink, Georgia used the Wella System Repair Treatment to properly nourish the hair, as well as the Wella Blondeplex toner to further brighten up the hair.
Back at the chair I was excited to see my new colour but first it was time for a quick trim and a change to my parting to give me a fresh new look. Georgia blowdried my hair and gave it a wave to finish the look. I was so happy with the finished colour and style, Georgia had completely nailed it!
I would really recommend a visit to Francesco Hair Salon’s Liliput branch. There is plenty of free on road parking just opposite and it is an easily accessible from both Bournemouth and Poole. Plus it is just steps from the seafront, making it a beautiful area to visit.
