Features Press Samples

With the school holidays almost halfway over here in England, parents will be looking at getting that all important back to school shop sorted. Obviously uniforms and school shoes are top of the list, but I have joined up with some lovely brands to share some other items to add to the online basket ready for the new term in September!

For School Starters

Personalised Photo Frame

If you, like me, have a little one starting school in September, this beautiful personalised first day at school photo frame from The Personal Shop will help to mark the occasion. Pop in your photo of their first day in Reception and display it or give it as a lovely gift for the grandparents.

A to Z Retro Poster

For those starting school, it may be a little daunting, this cute and colourful retro poster from Andy Tuohy will not only look fantastic up on their bedroom wall, but it will also help them to learn their alphabet and numbers, in a fun and relaxed way.

Starting School Book

To calm any nerves, this first day at school story book, which can be personalised with your child’s name and a message on the first page, is a brilliant idea and would make a lovely gift. Available from Getting Personal.

For Primary School

Packed Lunch Bag

Packed lunch boxes don’t have to be boring. This funky Doodle Pug design lunch bag from The Personal Shop can be personalised with your child’s first name, so it won’t get lost amongst the other lunch boxes either – bonus!

Hapi Bottle

Keep their smiles on their faces all day long with a bright and bold bottle from Hapi Bottles, which are leak proof with a wide mouth opening for you to add fruit or ice inside. The bottles are easy clean, light and keep liquids hot for up to 12 hours or cold for up to 24 hours. I love how colourful this orange bottle is from their range – my daughter is obsessed with it and can’t wait to get back to school to use it!

Urbee & Friends Range

These notebooks and pencils from Urbee are sure to be a hit with your children. The colourful designs include Bee, Ladybird and Butterfly notebooks, which can be used to practise spellings or handwriting or to complete their homework in.

Personalised Colouring Pencils

These personalised colouring pencils are perfect for budding artists. The pencils themselves are personalised with their name, and they come in a gift box, which comes in a variety of colours and can also be personalised with the child’s name. It definitely avoids arguments between siblings about whose colouring pencils are whose!

For Secondary School

Personalised Vaccum Flask

If you have a child in secondary school, buying their school stuff can feel like a mindfield. This vacuum flask from Getting Personal is made with stainless steel, keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold and comes in a sophisticated blue speckled design. It can be personalised with their initials too, making it a must buy.

Comic Heroes Notebooks

These personalised comic book hero notebooks from Getting Personal are great to record homework in, or for taking notes during lessons. Your child isn’t a fan of comics? No problem, the notebooks also come in a selection of other personalised designs, you’ll be sure to find one to suit any personality!

Tile

Is your child always losing their house keys? The Tile Pro comes in a variety of designs including this cool Good Fortune one, and helps to locate missing items like keys using the free smartphone app. As a bonus, you can use it in reverse to help find their phone if they lose that too!

Hopefully this guide has given you some inspiration for that all important back to school shop. The brands featured are all fantastic and have a brilliant selection of items to choose from – make sure you take a look at their websites for more fantastic products!
