Mummy Mondays – Trying Out the Idaho Jones Gallivant Baby Changing Backpack

At the end of the month we are going on our first camping trip and cruise within a few days of each other. With the three young children, including Benjamin who’s just over a year and a half, I need to be confident that I have everything I might need to hand at any one time but I don’t want to be lugging around cumbersome bags when we are out and about.

The collaboration with Idaho Jones came at the right time, they kindly sent over their updated Gallivant changing backpack for the purpose of this review and it’s a total game-changer. Whereas most changing bags are big and bulky, the Gallivant’s lightweight backpack design allows you to carry everything whilst keeping both hands free – perfect for those of us with more than one child who need to hold hands and be ready to prevent little ones from causing mischief. It also has straps allowing you to attach the bag easily to your pushchair. It’s going to be perfect for taking along to Camp Bestival later this month as well as I can carry the essentials for the day on my back, and leave everything else back in the tent. The bag is made with wipe clean materials, giving me peace of mind when it comes to a weekend at a festival! Despite its smaller size, the bag doesn’t compromise on space inside. It has lots of compartments, insulated bottle holders and even comes with its own travel changing mat – which again will be a lifesaver for when we are camping. One of the things I love best about the bag is how stylish it is compared to some changing bags. As soon as I saw the design, I couldn’t wait to get it and start using as it doesn’t scream “baby bag”. Now Benjamin is getting older, I don’t necessarily need to carry a full changing bag around with me on a day to day basis. This is perfect as it doubles up as an alternative handbag, and allows me to keep both his nappies, wipes and cup along with my phone, purse and other essentials together in one versatile bag. This will also be good for when we go on our cruise, and want to save space packing. I will also use it as our ‘shore’ bag once we are onboard, stocked up with sun cream, spare change, sun hats and our water bottles for when we are off exploring. The Gallivant baby changing backpack is priced at £60, and available from the Idaho Jones website. Use code “Angels10” to receive 10% off your order.

I was sent the Gallivant baby changing backpack for the purpose of this review, however all opinions and images are my own.
