Autumn Self-Care Beauty Favourites

•Features gifted items•

Autumn, for me, is the perfect opportunity to take a step back, recoup and take time to pamper myself. The long, cold evenings give me the chance to spend time applying fake tan, a hair mask and chilling in bed wearing a sheet mask with a candle burning. I am fortunate to be sent beauty and lifestyle products, and I wanted to share some of the self-care beauty products that I have been loving this month.

ARK Skincare Hydrating Serum

ARK Skincare’s serums work to provide skin with what it needs the most. This Hydrating serumgives moisture and plumps skin, protecting against dullness, whilst also being anti-ageing. I love the packaging on ARK’s products – they always look lovely on my dressing table. This serum is brilliant for my dry, sensitive skin. I feel like I have given my face a proper drink when I use it.

ARK Skincare Plumping Lip Cream

I always find my lips get drier during autumn, when the heat inside the house and in the car has an effect on how hydrated they are and makes them peel. This Plumping Lip Creamworks to plump and protect the lip area, using peptides to give the appearance of increased volume as well as smoothing and firming the lips. The cream is nice and light, absorbs easily and does give the appearance of slightly plumper lips.

ARK Skincare Jade Facial Tool

Gua Sha, an ancient self-care beauty ritual, has origins in Chinese medical tradition. It is a natural process to achieve healthier, more radiant and youthful skin. By sweeping the Jade Facial Tool against the skin, it stimulates blood circulation, encourages lymphatic drainage and, with regular use, helps the jaw line become more defined.

Cetraben Cream

Certraben are the first eczema prone skincare range to be approved by the British Skin Foundation and, as somebody who suffers with fairly bad eczema especially during the colder autumn months, I was happy to try out their Cetraben Cream, which helps to repair the skin barrier by locking in moisture and can be used by those with dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema as well as those with generally dry, flaky skin. I have been taking the cream along to work with me, to use during the day on the areas I suffer with eczema on and have found it really useful to moisturise on the go.

St Moriz Shade Control Express Tanning Mousse

I am fortunate as when I tan during the summer, it stays for quite a while and I have been asked on several occasions whether I have been on holiday. By the time Autumn rolls round, my tan has generally faded and I end up looking pale, with skin in need of a pick me up. I have used St Moriz fake tan for as long as I can remember as it is so affordable and I have never had any issues with streaking or transference. Their Shade Control Express Tanning Mousseis brilliant as it allows you to add a subtle hint of colour without looking like you’ve just come back from a week in Barbados.

T-Zone Glitter Mask Peel Off Black

I have tried lots of face masks and, although I do love a good sheet mask, I still prefer a peel off mask as they are so easy and fun to apply and remove. I was recently sent across the Glitter Mask Peel Off Blackfrom T-Zone, which has Bio-Glitter and leaves my skin feeling so smooth and clean. I will be stocking back up when it runs out as it is my new favourite face mask.

Beverly Hills Formula Perfect White Gold

When taking care of myself, my teeth are often overlooked. I have had a lot of bad luck with the dentist in the past, having had teeth removed, fillings and a brace during my childhood, and it has left me dreading going for a check-up. Oral hygiene is so important, however, and I have been enjoying using the Beverly Hills Formula Perfect White Goldrange, including a toothpaste and mouthwash which contains real gold, to keep my teeth white and my breath fresh.

Jolen Face Wax Strips

I have only recently stated removing facial hair at home, usually leaving it until I visit a beauty salon every couple of months to remove the fair hair on my face. These Jolen Face Wax Stripsare so quick and easy to use, and are suitable even on sensitive skin.

How do you practise self-care during the autumn? Are there any beauty products you swear by at this time of year?
