Christmas Gift Guide – Food & Drink 2019

•Features gifted items•

One of my favourite parts of Christmas is being with family and enjoying ALL the food and drink in the name of being festive. If you are looking to stock up the cupboards in preparation for Christmas, or looking to buy a gift for a certified foodie, read on to discover some brilliant buys.

Treats

Vanilla Reindeer Personalised Chocolates

These yummy Vanilla Reindeer truffles come in a variety of box designs and sizes, which can be personalised with names and images to make a truly unique gift idea. I love the individual size boxes and had lots of fun personalising the design online.

Divine Chocolate Selection

What’s not to love about Divine’s chocolate? As well as being delicious, Divine is a global, farmer-owned chocolate company, helping farmers to gain a share of the wealth they help to create. Their Christmas Chocolate Selection includes tantalising flavours such as Gingerbread Crisp and Dark Chocolate with Tangy Clementine, as well as a spiced hot chocolate and some absolutely incredible Milk Chocolate Salted Pretzels which, I’m not going to lie, I ate all by myself (#sorrynotsorry).

Popcorn Shed Popcorn

Popcorn Shed is a firm favourite in our house and their cute packaging makes them an ideal gift for any popcorn lover out there. I have tried a few flavours and always come back to the Salted Caramel – so moreish.

Personalised Sweet Jar

This Personalised Sweet Jar, packed to the brim with retro favourites such as Parma Violets, Fruit Salads and Love Hearts, is an awesome gift idea for those young or old. You can’t go wrong with a jar of sweets and this one allows you to add the recipient’s name, to make it even more special.

Thorntons Cheeky Elf & Snowy Bear

Buying for a child and not sure what chocolate they would like. Go for one of these super cute and totally festive Chocolate Models from Thorntons. As well as being adorable, they can be personalised for free!

Seed & Bean Favourites & Cracker

Seed & Bean focus on using organic ingredients with small-scale suppliers and their ethically produced chocolate is totally yummy. Their Favourites Gift Set, which includes Coffee Espresso and Cornish Sea Salt, would be a lovely gift idea this Christmas, or if you fancy something novelty, the Cracker Gift Box is also brilliant.

Guylian Belgian Chocolates

An oldie but a goodie. Guylian Belgian Chocolates are something I remember from when I was a child, when my mum would get a box on Christmas Day. Years may have gone by, but these praline chocolates have stood the test of time and are still as popular as they were then.

Lir Discovery Collection

Lir Chocolates aren’t just tasty, they are miniature works of art, hand-decorated and filled with imagination. The Discovery Collection includes flavour combinations such as Dark Chocolate Torte and Pecan Caramel as well as firm favourites – Salted Caramel, Coffee and Praline. The packaging is gorgeous and perfectly showcases these exquisite chocolates.

Baileys Chocolate Mini Delights

Baileys and Christmas go hand in hand, and these little Chocolate Mini Delights would make a fantastic adult stocking filler or Christmas Eve treat. Available in both Chocolate and Salted Caramel flavours, these will go down a treat.

Alcohol*

Jeffrey’s Tonic Syrups

Jeffrey’s have launched a range of tonic syrups alongside their ready to serve tonic waters. Add a few drops of the syrups to a spirit and top with soda water for a simple and effective drink this Christmas. The tonic syrups are made with natural herbs, spices and come in flavours such as Lime, Galangal & Orange and Yarrow, Rosehip & Elderflower.

Chambord

Chambord is a firm favourite at Christmas, probably because it goes well with Prosecco! You can buy this delicious black raspberry liqueur in a beautifully presented limited edition gold gift box for the festive season, making a lovely gift.

Princess P Prosecco

Princess P. have a range of gift ideas, including their Princess P. Prosecco and a selection of gluten and dairy free treats. I love the set I was sent, which includes gourmet marshmallows, an Orang E-Tang and mini bottle of Cointreau.

Eden Mill Candy Cane Gins

Gin has become the drink over the past couple of years and this gorgeous Candy Cane variety, which uses peppermint for flavour and bilberry and hibiscus for colour, will get you in the spirit in more ways than one. Also available in a mixed Candy Cane Mojito cocktail in a ready to drink bottle, this is sure to go down well as a gift or as an addition to your home bar in time for Christmas.

Nordes Atlantic Galician Gin

Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is made with a grape-based spirit rather than grain based, along with 11 botanicals to give it a complex quality. The bottle, which is inspired by traditional white porcelain made in Galicia, makes it a stylish and sophisticated gift for Christmas.

Cooking, Preserves & Coffee

Rose Vinegar & Balsamic Vinegar

These vinegars will look lovely in the kitchen, whilst adding flavour to your cooking. The Due Vittorie Rose Wine Vinegar is blended with both red and white grapes, giving a unique colour and flavour, whilst the Oro Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Due Vittorie is a best-seller, winning the great taste award in 2018 from the Guild of Fine Foods.

Miod Raw Honey Gift Set

Know somebody whose love of Honey could rival Winnie the Pooh? This trio of honeys from Prezzybox would make a lovely gift and, as well as being personalised with recipient name and a message, you can also choose which of the 11 honeys you would like to include from a selection. The gift set also comes with its own honey drizzler.

Christmas with Beanies 3 Jar Stash

allplants Vegan Food Subscription

If you are looking to buy a unique gift for somebody who doesn’t eat meat or dairy, for whatever reason, the allplants food subscription is a fantastic alternative present. The company send out delicious and nutritious vegan meals, which can be frozen and used as and when. There’s a great selection of meals to choose from on the website, or you can just have a bundle delivered. There is a subscription service, or you can buy a one-off gift.

Books

Official Downton Abbey Cookbook

I have already included this Official Downton Abbey Cookbook in my Gift Guide for Her, but I couldn’t resist adding it in here as well. The book would make a great gift for any Downton or Foodie fan and has a whole host of fantastic recipes to recreate with beautiful illustrations and easy to follow instructions.

Hampers

Thornton & France Gin & Tonic Lover Hamper

Prestige Hampers offer a variety of hampers to suit everyone. I fell in love with this Gin & Tonic Lover Hamper from the moment I opened the box. It is full of gin and refreshing tonic waters as well as some fun liqueurs to add a taste sensation to your drink. The box is a lovely duck egg blue colour and looks beautiful as a gift.

Luxury Gift Basket

If you want a more traditional hamper, this Luxury Gift Basket, also from Prestige Hampers, is filled to the brim with a selection of cakes, crisps, chocolate, wine and preserves. Sure to bring a smile to their face, this hamper can be refilled again and again.

Equipment

Morphy Richards Rose Gold Sear & Stew Slow Cooker

Using a slow cooker has been a total game-changer for me and I recommend everybody gets one, especially for those cold winter days when the last thing you want to be thinking about when you get in from work is what to cook for dinner. Slow cookers make mealtimes easy, and this attractive Rose Gold Sear & Stew Slow Cooker is not only practical, it will also look lovely on the kitchen counter. Plus it even has a hob proof cooking pot, allowing you to sear your meat before adding it to a stew or casserole.

SodaStream Spirit One Touch

SodaStream have a selection of products available to suit your individual needs but I do love this Spirit One Touch model as it is so easy to use and gives you sparkling drinks within seconds – perfect for the party season when entertaining guests, and helping fight the single-use plastic issue at the same time.
