Spring is almost here, and it marks the arrival of two of my favourite occasions, Mother’s Day and Easter. I was recently invited along to Lush in Bournemouth for an exclusive showcase event for the Bournemouth Bloggers of their spring ranges. Lush events are brilliant, as the team are so enthusiastic and passionate about the company and its ethos. Plus, we get the chance to get our hands dirty and make our own products – which is always amazing.
Both the Mother’s Day and Easter ranges are as colourful and fun as you’d imagine. I am saving up the pennies to treat the kids to the dragon eggs, which are incredible, and I will be making strong hints for Ed to help the kids pick out some of the Mother’s Day bath bombs too.
On arrival we were treated to Prosecco in recycled pots, which went down really well as the team introduced themselves and explained that the evening’s event would be nice and relaxed, with the chance to make the popular Sex Bomb bath bomb and Angels on Bare Skin fresh cleanser as well as lots of product demonstrations of the new ranges and mini massages too.
It was really interesting seeing the new product demos. I think my favourites were the Stegosaurus Fun Egg, Jasmine Flower and Incredible Mum – they smelt amazing and would be lovely in a bath. The butterflies are so cute as well!
It was so much fun making the bath bombs. Sex Bomb is beautiful, but a lot harder to create than you would think. You have to get the rose in just the right place, in order to be able to see it peeking through. Plus, it has not one, but two colours. I was quite proud of the end result and it felt extra special using it in my bath after the event.
The tills were kept open throughout the night, and many of us were tempted by the new products, and some old favourites too. I picked up the Peachy bath bomb, leftover from Valentine’s Day – it smells incredible!
I was invited along to Lush Bournemouth for the event with the Bournemouth Bloggers. As part of the event, I received the products I made on the evening.
