I don’t want to jinx anything, but it seems like Spring is finally coming around, and the weather is starting to warm up. The lighter, brighter days have got me dreaming of summer, and our very first cruise with the children this July. We are heading off to Northern Europe with MSC, and I am excited but a little apprehensive as well as this type of a holiday is all new for me.
One thing I do know, is that the children will need a fair amount of new summer clothes, including some smarter pieces for our time onboard the ship so, when La Coqueta, a Spanish brand specialising in beautiful clothing for babies and children, offered to send over an item from their boys shorts collection for Cameron, I was happy to oblige.
The range is gorgeous, and I had a tough time picking just one pair that I liked. The shorts I went for are called Bocusi Bermuda shorts, are priced at £42, and also come in camel, navy and white as well as a mint green shade, which I love, and might have to get.
Made from high quality cotton, the shorts arrived in a lovely hessian branded drawstring bag, beautifully gift wrapped in tissue paper.
They are a lovely soft salmon pink colour, and the pastel shade will look so nice on Cameron once he’s been out in the sun.
The sizing is fairly accurate. Cameron is fairly narrow himself and sometimes has issues with trousers and shorts falling down, but he didn’t have a problem with these, so it may be best to size up if this isn’t the case. The shorts do have an adjustable waist though, which is good.
Length wise, Cameron is tall for his age and the shorts came to his knees. I believe the style is meant to be fairly long, and they looked nice and felt comfortable on.
Cameron was really happy with the shorts, and said that he liked that they had deep pockets the best.
They are machine washable, but La Coqueta advise for you to put them on a delicate cycle at 30 degrees and not to tumble dry. I would definitely recommend washing with your lights rather than brights, as these shorts are a nice pastel shade.
If you are looking for clothing which is made with high quality materials and is a little more unique than the high street shops, I would recommend having a look at the La Coqueta website.
As well as boys clothes, they also offer a nice range of clothing for girls including some pretty dresses, and I love their selection for babies – the dungarees are adorable!
We were provided with the Bocusi Bermuda shorts for the purpose of this review, however all opinions and photos are my own.
